Cheetah and Gold = perfection

18 Jul

Karla’s Closet is one of my favorite daily reads and yesterday I was lovinggggg her outfit!

In my book cheetah print is a must in every wardrobe so here’s a little cheetah and glitter montage to inspire…

The only thing missing is a bright red lip to complete the look!

Shoes are my absolute weakness.

I would rather buy a great pair of shoes than anything else….I think I have Carrie Bradshaw syndrome!

Catching Up

29 Mar

Well last week sure took it out of me!  Between NOLAFW and the Amelie G fashion show at The Louisiana Derby, I feel like I’ve lost touch with the outside world!  For the past two days, I’ve been catching up on all of the blog posts from my favorite bloggers like The Blonde Salad, Making Magique, Studio Swag, Keiko Lynn, and many more!  Speaking of Keiko Lynn, I had the amazing opportunity to attend the NOLFW event Creating a Compelling Voice at the Martine Chaisson Gallery on Thursday night.  Christine of My Style Pill, Lindsey of Saucy Glossie, Bobby of This Fellow, and Keiko made up the amazing panel of bloggers for the night!

With Kelby of Kelby Floyd – I miss seeing him!

More pictures from the runway shows to come!

Congrats to Rachael of Ordinarily Urbane, Nick Landy, and Andi Eaton on an amazing fashion week!  Can’t wait for the next one!

Last night was one  of the biggest nights in Hollywood and the stars came out in style.  It was pretty difficult for me to narrow down my top favorites, considering there weren’t many misses in the dress department!

5. Sandra Bullock in Vera Wang

4. Hillary Swank in Gucci Premiere

3. Cate Blanchett in Givenchy Haute Couture

2. Michelle Williams in Chanel

1. Hailee Steinfeld in Marchesa

Oh Vivienne You Never Disappoint!

21 Feb

The Brits really know how to put on a show!  My creative block hasn’t subsided quite yet, but I had to comment on the recent shows in London.  Vivienne Westwood showed her Red Label collection at London’s Royal Courts of Justice.  By the way, the venue acts as the lobby for actual courts of law…OOC (out of control)!  Last night this usually all business atmosphere was turned into a fashion wonderland giving the models ample amounts of space to strut their stuff.   Here are a few of my favorites from the show…I had a lot!

A little side note for yall!  A few summers ago I had the opportunity to visit London and a few other marvelous European cities…I was the happiest girl in the world!  It was my second time visiting the lovely city of London and i fell in love all over again plus more.  While I was there I stopped by the flagship Vivenne Westwood boutique and scrounged up enough pounds to purchase a pair of Vivienne Westwood flats that I absolutely fell in love with.  Be sure to look for them in one of my future personal style posts (coming soon).

Favorite look of the collection!

My oh my I love me some Vivienne Westwood !

If you want some up close and personal shots of the show, visit fellow blogger Chiara Ferragni at The Blonde Salad.  Ahhh jealous!

Gutter Glam

13 Feb

Yesterday I had the pleasure of working with some lovely and talented ladies in the great city of Baton Rouge!  I have to say, it was nice to only have to show up with the clothes, do my thing, and style the models.  The inspiration for the shoot was pretty grungy and I think we definitely pulled it off! Models Maddie and Diana totally rocked it, Jessi our amazing photographer got some awesome shots, Phoenix worked wonders on the hair, and Aimee gave the girls some fierce makeup!  I can’t wait to see the finished product, but here’s a sneak peek until then…make sure to stay tuned!
